Kitchen Redesign

Yesterday, I referenced the fact that I've ridiculously chosen to take on yet another project in my life. But you see, the issue is I own an interior decorating company, soon to be showroom, and have the ugliest kitchen. Not to mention, the rest of the house isn't something I'd brag about either. My husband and I plan on building our dream house in 2 years, so we're kind of like, why make our rented townhouse look nice? That's what someone who doesn't own an interior decorating company, soon to be showroom, would say. I can't take it anymore. I want to be proud of my home. So, budget is a MAJOR factor. We're saving for the mac daddy home and don't want to carve too far into that savings for this remodel. Below is the design. I'm going for a Polished Bohemian Industrial vibe. Yes, I know that's a lot of styles in one, but I don't care.

If you click on the design board, you can see it larger. Dear readers, I need your help. Which light fixture do I go with for over the island? The one from Home Depot that costs $200 or the one from Rejuvenation that costs $450? The cabinets, like I mentioned, are being painted with the new Rustoleum product. I plan on painting them black. Do I go with the less expensive combo towards the bottom for the counter and backsplash or my lover the Formica carrara marble look-alike counter with subway tile backsplash? The less expensive tile at the bottom for the backsplash is actually really pretty. It has a metallic sheen to it. I know, you're thinking why would you not do the carrara marble combo?? Because I always knew I would most likely end up doing it in my dream kitchen. Do I use it up now? Plus, it's more expensive.

This is the Home Depot light fixture image I took today:

Let me know your thoughts readers!! P.S. Got ranunculus today at Home Depot!! Aren't they pretty??
