Collaborations to Write Home About

I love when the interior design and fashion worlds mix. There's two upcoming ventures that I'm very excited to report:

First, it is rather rare for an interior designer to cross into the realm of fashion. It's usually the other way around. But for Jonathan Adler, there's nothing he can't handle. Collaborating with 7 For All Mankind, he's designed a line for both men and women, and of course they include his signature quirky prints.
Notice a resemblance from his interiors?

I've always had mixed feelings for the dude ever since I watched him judge on Top Design. But, there's no doubting, he's got talent.

Our next collaboration seems to be something of a trend among the fashion designers we know and love. What do Betsey Johnson, Missoni, Moschino, and DVF have in common? They can all chalk up designing hotels to their list of accomplishments.

Betsey Johnson designed the iconic Eloise room at the Plaza:
There's the Missoni Hotel that just opened last year in Edinburgh:

The Moschino Hotel in Milan that also opened last year:

And the latest chic lodging venture, Diane Von Furstenberg is set to design rooms in Claridge's in London. Rumor has it, she'll be incorporating some of the bold prints similar to the ones featured in her Fall 2010 runway collection. She's also branched out into the home decor department, with that collection set to debut in January.
