It's Looking Like Christmas...

I heard Christmas music this morning!! I'm totally one of those freaks who gets excited for stuff like this in the middle of November. But what gets me even more excited are the holiday catalogs. If you have not explored Lands' End Canvas yet, you are seriously missing out. Watch out J.Crew, is all I have to say:

They even have a cute video of their shoot on the site!

It's supposed to be 57 degrees this weekend, so don't blame me for putting up my outdoor Christmas decor. With my luck, I know if I wait for the weekend after Thanksgiving, it will be arctic temps. What's my inspiration this year? So glad you asked:

My entryway does not have a porch, does not have a red door and overall does not look anything like this house. But I'm going to do everything in my power to make it look like this...
{Pottery Barn}
Would I be total dork if I sprinkled fake snow on my entry?
Any ideas you're using this year?

The Nate Berkus Show

I'm ashamed. I'm so ashamed. How is it that I have had the very first episode of the Nate Berkus show in my DVR unwatched and have not seen one episode since. I was cleaing out the ol' DVR last night (with movies/shows from 2008 might I add) and saw I had recorded it. HELLO!!!! How am I missing this on a daily basis??? I am so watching it today at 2 pm in my office (shhhh) because super cute Rachel Roy will be on discussing trendy accessories.

By the way, did you see her cute bedroom featured in House Beautiful?

And tomorrow's episode is all about my obsession, Mad Men. By the way, next Friday my besty is having a Mad Men themed party. SO excited to sport some 60s chic fashion.

Christmas is Coming!

Is it too early to have a Christmas Wish List? I think not. Hopefully, the hubby reads my blog once and awhile and I won't have to even hint this year!

1. Cooking with Italian Grandmother's. I love the photography in this cookbook.

2. Found via Elements of Style, this monogrammed bracelet from Charm&Chain is the perfect opportunity to sport my new last name.

3. Ever since Paris, my cravings for macarons have been ever-present. Paulette ships them right to your door.

4. I've been drooling over this lucite console for months now. It's the perfect little desk area to blog from!

5. To add to my book collection, I love Mary McDonald's work and she finally has a book featuring all her designs.

6. Luckily, they did not have my size at J.Crew yesterday, otherwise these little driving gloves would be off the wish list and in my closet.

Speaking of J.Crew, have you seen the Holiday catalog? The images just make you want to sing deck the halls with boughs of fashion:
I'd love to hear what's on your list this year!

Parade of Homes

Remember this post? I talked about black and orange and how I was decorating a model home that was to be entered in our county's Parade of Homes. Well, I didn't expect to even be judged for Best Decorating because I literally used objects and furniture from around my house. Then, we were announced as the winner! I was so excited. So finally, here is the little vignette set-up I did:

Diane, You're My Hero

As a businesswoman and a designer, there is no better inspiration than Diane Von Furstenberg. She's just such an admirable person and is, in my eyes, a woman that has paved the way for women designers everywhere. I am soooo excited for her new line of tableware to be launched in February. It will be sold through DVF and Bloomingdales. The latest issue of House Beautiful featured a tablescape she designed with pieces from her new collection. The prints look like they're straight from her latest fashion collection.

By the way, how is it that I have continued through life without a DVF wrap dress?? I need to invest in one of these stat...
The tablescape colors match my blog a bit, no?

P.S. I have some exciting news about Tendenza, but am just waiting for some final details to be worked out before I tell... I can't wait to share it with everyone!

Bonjour, Bonjour

Remember me? Yes, I am a married old lady now and couldn't be happier! I haven't shared my photos from the honeymoon, yet, and of course I had to share some of my faves with my beloved readers first...
Despite the fact that Paris was FREEZING for October and there were strikes/bomb threats galore, I fell in love with this city. People watching at the cafes were amazing and every little cafe you went into was so well decorated. I ate croissants and nutella crepes like it was my job; however dinner was another story. Next time I go, hopefully I'll be a little more acquainted with the food. And the flea markets!!! That is what my heaven will be like.

The women really are definitely something to marvel at. I should have at my door today All You Need to Be Impossibly French from my best friend, Amazon. Has anyone read it yet? I'm devouring it this weekend.

I'll be posting Tuscany next week! (and wedding pictures will take awhile, but I promise to share those as soon as I get them!) Have a great weekend everyone!
